Sweep
Introduction to sweep mode
In sweep mode, the Spectran V6 sweeps across frequencies using the RTBW filter, similar to how Ekahau Sidekick2 works. However, the Aaronia RTSA offers full control over bin length/RBW. Upgrading the RTBW filter on the Plus model enables sweeping at speeds up to 1 THz/s. The ECO model can sweep up to 500 GHz/s without additional licensing and up to 3.2 THz/s with the fast-sweep license.
It's important to note that no phase information is captured in sweep mode, only amplitude. This mode is ideal for covering wider frequency ranges, such as all of 5 GHz Wi-Fi.
During sweep mode the filter "steps" with or without some overlap, and is used when you need to cover more than the real-time filter bandwidth. In this mode you will not be able to decode, since the filter steps to quick. Slowed down, you might be able to decode something. But this mode is not like in real-time mode where the filter is set to a specfic center frequency and you will be able to decode anything.
