Wi-Fi 2.4 and 5 GHz

Mission that works with V6 Eco and Plus

This mission sweeps from 2400MHz to 6000MHz with the Plus version, or 2400 to 7200MHz with the Eco version, it uses the "wrapped" spectrum block to split the frequency zoom into up to 4 sub-spans.

Block Diagram

The block-diagram uses the "Wrapped Spectrum" block where we have enabled the sub-spans, it support a total of 4 sub-spans, so if you want to add a view for 4G frequencies this is possible.

(Optional) Callibration block

The calibration block ensures accurate measurements by compensating for the characteristics of antennas, RF limiters, and in-line attenuators. It provides a reference signal to adjust for signal losses, ensuring precise spectrum readings across all frequencies and eliminating measurement errors.

To use, simply add the calibration block from the Block menu, connect it to the RF Input on your Spectran V6, and attach any antennas you’re using.

V6 Plus

Because the V6 Plus can only sweep to 6GHz (or, 6GHz to 8GHz with an external bandpass) we can only see 2.4 and 5GHz Wi-Fi at the same time. I have therefore used the Wrapped Spectrum block top.

Simply change the ref.level, and color in the waterfall to make it similar to the view below.

V6 Eco

For Eco I have made a mission that covers 2.4, 5 and 6GHz Wi-Fi instead, but if you like to use this mission with Eco simply change the hardware block.

Download the mission:

Mission WILL be slower when using sub-spans, it will be faster when using the standard 5GHz mission. Keep this in mind, we all know what 2.4GHz looks like.
